Desorden Público is Venezuela's great ska-rock institution, formed in Caracas in 1985 and still going strong. Mixing ska, punk, reggae, and Latin rhythms with sharp, often satirical lyrics about Venezuelan society and politics, they became the country's most enduring alternative band. Their energetic live shows and socially conscious songs made them a voice of dissent and a fixture of Latin American rock festivals for four decades.
