Über Baron Ya Búk-Lu
Singer from Micomeseng who formed his first group at fourteen and has been recording since the mid 1990s, making him the most prolific artist the country has produced. He folds the Fang olong rhythm into reggae, funk, soukous, afrobeat and hip-hop, and sings in Fang and Spanish. His catalogue runs from BB Project in 1996 through Dumu Aye'ku in 2005 and Akamayong in 2013 to the Panafricano EP in 2020 and beyond. He moved to Europe in 1989 and has kept a steady release schedule from there ever since.
