Bai Kamara Jr is a singer, guitarist and producer born in Bo, Sierra Leone, who has built his career in Belgium. He moved to England at 15 for school, discovered John Lee Hooker and Big Bill Broonzy there, and settled in Brussels in 1990. After years of soul and funk records, he turned to acoustic blues on Salone (2020), an English-language album about his Sierra Leonean roots named after the country's nickname. He followed it in 2023 with Traveling Medicine Man, released with his band The Voodoo Sniffers.
