Aurora Aksnes, from Os near Bergen, makes ethereal art-pop rooted in Norwegian folk melody and nature imagery. She broke through in 2015 covering Oasis for a UK Christmas advert, and her own Runaway and Running with the Wolves built a devoted global following. She sang the central vocal for Frozen 2's Into the Unknown, and Runaway underwent a massive TikTok revival in 2021 that pushed the 2015 song past a billion streams. She is one of the most-streamed Norwegian artists of the 2020s.
