Buenos Aires quartet led by Luis Alberto Spinetta that together with Los Gatos and Manal founded rock nacional. Their 1969 self-titled debut, featuring 'Muchacha (Ojos de Papel)', 'Plegaria para un Niño Dormido' and 'Figuración', remains one of the most canonised albums in Argentine rock history, and it made clear that Spanish-language rock could carry literary ambition and poetic introspection on its own terms.
