Thin Lizzy were Ireland's first great rock band, built around the charismatic bass and songwriting of Phil Lynott. Their twin-guitar attack and storytelling lyrics produced hard rock anthems with a distinctly Irish sense of melody and myth. "The Boys Are Back in Town" made them global stars in 1976, and Lynott remains one of rock's iconic frontmen.
