About Sentimiento Muerto
Sentimiento Muerto was the seminal band of the Venezuelan alternative rock scene. Emerging from the Caracas underground in the mid 1980s around Carlos Chaco and Cayayo Troconis, they fused post-punk, new wave, and Latin sensibilities into a sound that defined a generation of Venezuelan rock. Though the band dissolved in the early 1990s, its members went on to shape acts like Dermis Tatú and Los Amigos Invisibles, and their catalog remains foundational to the country's rock canon.
