About Rui Veloso

Widely considered the father of rock portugues, Rui Veloso proved that rock could be sung authentically in Portuguese. His 1980 debut 'Chico Fininho' became one of the most iconic Portuguese rock songs ever, and his blues-inflected style from Porto helped define the sound of a generation.
