About Paloma del Sol

Singer from Bioko who joined her aunt in Hijas del Sol as a teenager in 1992 and has recorded on her own since the duo ended. Goza de la Vida came out in 2010 and the album Atrévete a Ser Feliz in 2016, both leaning further into Spanish-language pop and soul than the duo's Bubi-rooted records did. Yemayá, from the 2022 album Mi Guinea, turns back toward the rhythms of the islands. She is generally credited under her stage name rather than folded into the Hijas del Sol catalogue.
