About Mr. Children

Formed in Tokyo in 1989 around singer-songwriter Kazutoshi Sakurai, Mr. Children are the biggest Japanese rock band of the last thirty years, with more than fifty-seven million domestic record sales. Tomorrow Never Knows (1994) sold 2.7 million copies on its own, and the band has continued to produce platinum singles into the 2020s, including the Doraemon theme Birthday in 2020.
