About Marvin Gaye
Marvin Gaye moved from Motown hitmaker to the author of What's Going On, the 1971 concept album that brought social conscience to soul. His later work, including Let's Get It On and Sexual Healing, defined sensual R&B. He was shot by his father in 1984, a day before his 45th birthday.
