Los Melódicos

About Los Melódicos

Los Melódicos, founded by Renato Capriles in Caracas in 1958, are the great rival of Billo's Caracas Boys and one of the most popular dance orchestras Latin America ever produced. With a rotating cast of singers and a vast catalog of merengues, cumbias, and tropical hits, they became a fixture of Venezuelan radio and every celebration for over half a century. Their records sold across the continent and made the orquesta bailable a national institution.
