Lim Young-woong is a trot singer born in 1991 who debuted independently in 2016 and won TV Chosun's competition Mr. Trot in 2020. That win propelled him to national stardom, and his subsequent singles and drama soundtracks made him one of the most commercially successful Korean solo artists of the decade. His concert tours and fanbase are among the largest in the country. He is the face of trot's mainstream revival.
