Junior H, born in Cerano, Guanajuato, became one of the central figures of corridos tumbados alongside Natanael Cano and Peso Pluma. Signed to Cano's Rancho Humilde label, his early features and his 2020 single Disfruto Lo Malo helped consolidate the new sound. Sad Boyz 4 Life and Sad Boyz 4 Life II reinvented the corrido as a melancholic, introspective form sung over acoustic strings. His 2023 collaboration with Peso Pluma El Azul charted globally; the same year he became the first Mexican to headline the Spotify Día de Muertos campaign on Times Square.
