A singer-songwriter and former professional surfer from the North Shore of Oʻahu whose mellow acoustic style captured a laid-back island sensibility. His 2005 album 'In Between Dreams', featuring 'Better Together' and 'Banana Pancakes', made him a global star. His warm, understated songwriting and environmental activism became his signature. He is one of the most commercially successful artists ever to emerge from Hawaii.
