About Giorgio Moroder
Giorgio Moroder is the father of electronic dance music, a producer from South Tyrol whose pulsing synthesizer work changed pop forever. His 1977 production of Donna Summer's I Feel Love is often cited as the blueprint for modern dance music, and his film scores for Midnight Express, Flashdance, and Top Gun won him three Academy Awards. Decades later, a new generation rediscovered him through his collaboration with Daft Punk.
