Brisbane-formed harmony vocal trio of Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. Massive 1960s chart success (Massachusetts, To Love Somebody) was eclipsed by the late-1970s disco era, when Saturday Night Fever (1977) became one of the best-selling soundtracks ever and the Bee Gees were briefly the world's biggest pop act. Maurice died in 2003 and Robin in 2012; Barry continues as a solo artist.
