Beau Dommage were the Montreal pop band that defined the 1970s Quebec scene with their 1974 self-titled debut. Their songs about neighbourhood life, La Complainte du phoque en Alaska, Le Picbois, and Tous les palmiers, became standards of Quebec popular music and are still sung at every reunion concert.
