Asha Bhosle's voice defined the sensual, edgy side of Hindi film music — from the psychedelic Dum Maro Dum to the elegant ghazals of Umrao Jaan. Her collaboration with R.D. Burman (her husband) produced some of Bollywood's most adventurous music.
