About Amy Winehouse
North London singer-songwriter who released only two studio albums before her death at 27 in 2011, but Back to Black (2006) reshaped 21st-century pop. Mark Ronson's production and the Dap-Kings backing band brought 1960s soul vocabulary back into contemporary chart pop, and Winehouse's voice and lyric writing made the album one of the most-imitated of the decade.
