Bolero Mexicano
À propos de Bolero Mexicano
The Mexican branch of the Cuban bolero, transplanted to Mexico in the 1920s and turned into the country's defining romantic song form. Agustín Lara composed its canon; Toña la Negra, Pedro Vargas, and Trío Los Panchos sang it across Latin America. The form went into decline after the 1970s, but Luis Miguel's Romances trilogy in the 1990s reintroduced it to a global audience.
