Yamaguchi Momoe

À propos de Yamaguchi Momoe

Yamaguchi Momoe is the definitive idol singer of 1970s Japan, a cool-toned alto who fronted thirty-two singles between 1973 and her 1980 retirement at the age of twenty-one. Songs like Playback Part 2, Cosmos, and Ii Hi Tabidachi were written by Japan's leading composer-lyricist teams and built the idol-singer template that Matsuda Seiko, Nakamori Akina, and every later star would inherit. She has never returned to the stage.
