The Pogues
À propos de The Pogues
The Pogues collided Irish traditional music with punk energy, fronted by the ragged poetry of Shane MacGowan. Formed by London-Irish musicians in 1982, they made the tin whistle and accordion sound dangerous again. Their Christmas duet "Fairytale of New York" became one of the most enduring songs in the British and Irish canon, and their celtic-punk sound spawned countless imitators.
