The Band

À propos de The Band

The Band came together in Toronto as Ronnie Hawkins' backing group before becoming Bob Dylan's touring partners during his electric era and then releasing Music from Big Pink in 1968. Their three Canadian members (Robbie Robertson, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko) and Arkansan drummer Levon Helm invented a roots-rock sound that influenced every Americana act that came after. They formally disbanded after The Last Waltz in 1976.
