Manchester five-piece (originally) led by Gary Barlow's songwriting that built the UK boy-band template through the early 1990s. Their 1996 break-up was a national news event. The 2005 reunion, initially as a four-piece without Robbie Williams, produced some of the band's biggest hits including Patience and Rule the World, and they have continued recording and touring as a trio since 2014.
