Formed in Yogyakarta in 1996, Sheila on 7 sold more than a million copies of each of their first four albums and turned guitar-led pop-rock into the soundtrack of late-1990s Indonesian youth. Dan and Sephia became national singalongs and the band toured across Southeast Asia. They remain one of the few Indonesian rock bands with significant Malaysian and Singaporean followings.
