À propos de Santana
Carlos Santana, born in Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, formed the Santana Blues Band in San Francisco in 1966 and built a Latin rock idiom that fused blues guitar with Afro-Cuban percussion. The band's 1969 Woodstock performance of Soul Sacrifice introduced Latin rhythms to the global rock audience; Oye Como Va, Black Magic Woman, and Samba Pa Ti became standards. Santana's 1999 album Supernatural sold 30 million copies and won nine Grammys; he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and continues to tour. His sound made Latin rock a global genre.
