À propos de Rokia Traoré

Bambara singer-songwriter and guitarist who moved Mali's contemporary art-music vocabulary into territory the wassoulou and griot traditions had not addressed before. Her albums Mouneïssa (1998), Bowmboi (2003), and Tchamantché (2008) drew comparisons to Tracy Chapman and Cesária Évora and made her one of the most internationally acclaimed Malian women of her generation. Won the Critics Award at the 2009 Victoires de la Musique in France.
