Mi2 are the working-class rock band Slovenia plays at parties. Formed in Ribnica in 1997, they write loud, fast, sing-along hits about beer, friendship, May Day, and the things that hold a small country together. Their live shows are reliably chaotic and reliably full, and "Zbudi me za 1. maj" is a national workers'-holiday anthem. Where Siddharta went stadium-polished, Mi2 stayed pub-band raw, and that is exactly the point.
