Matsuda Seiko

1962–présent

À propos de Matsuda Seiko

Matsuda Seiko was the most popular idol singer of 1980s Japan, a vocally light, almost weightless soprano whose haircut alone became a national trend. She placed twenty-four consecutive singles at number one between 1980 and 1988 and has continued recording, now in her fifth decade. She is the most influential female pop singer in Japanese history, the template every j-pop idol of the next forty years would either copy or react against.
