À propos de Khaled
Known as the King of Rai, Khaled brought the Algerian folk-pop genre to a global audience from his base in France. Born in Oran, Algeria, he modernized rai by blending traditional North African melodies with Western pop and dance production. His 1992 hit 'Didi' and the Jean-Jacques Goldman-penned 'Aicha' became international anthems. Khaled is the most commercially successful rai artist in history and a symbol of Franco-Maghrebi cultural exchange.
