À propos de Calcutta

Calcutta is the unlikely figurehead of the Italian indie boom, a songwriter from Latina whose disarmingly simple, melancholic pop songs sparked a movement in the mid-2010s. Releasing on the Bomba Dischi label, his albums Mainstream and Evergreen turned bedroom melodies into festival singalongs and influenced a whole generation of young Italian artists. His everyman image and gift for an earworm chorus made the indie sound commercially mainstream.
