Andy Lau is the longest-running superstar of the Cantopop Four Heavenly Kings, a singer and actor whose fan base spans every generation in Greater China. He came up through TVB television drama in the early 1980s before recording the Mandarin hit 忘情水 in 1994 and going on to sell more concert tickets than any other Cantopop act of his generation. His 2010 song 十七歲 became an unexpected late-career staple after Lau performed it on China Central Television's gala stage.
