Buenos Aires quartet led by Luis Alberto Spinetta that together with Los Gatos and Manal founded rock nacional. Their 1969 self-titled debut — featuring 'Muchacha (Ojos de Papel)', 'Plegaria para un Niño Dormido' and 'Figuración' — remains one of the most canonised albums in Argentine rock history, and it made clear that Spanish-language rock could carry literary ambition and poetic introspection on its own terms.
