Über Cuarteto

Born in Córdoba in the 1940s, cuarteto is a high-energy dance music built on a signature tunga-tunga rhythm. Carlos 'La Mona' Jiménez became its undisputed king, performing thousands of shows over five decades. Rodrigo brought it to national prominence before his early death. Inscribed by UNESCO in 2025, cuarteto is one of Argentina's most distinctly regional genres.
