Über T. Rex

Marc Bolan's band started in 1967 as the acoustic-folk Tyrannosaurus Rex before electrifying in 1970 and inventing glam rock's commercial template: stomping riffs, glitter, falsetto choruses, and pop singles. Get It On, Children of the Revolution, and 20th Century Boy are foundational. Bolan died in a car accident in 1977 at the age of 29.
