The architect of power soca, who won his first Road March in 1980 as Blue Boy with Soca Baptist and went on to take the title a record number of times. Get Something and Wave in 1991 invented the rag-waving Carnival ritual that every soca artist has used since. His career has run through long absences and comebacks, including a 2013 Road March win after years away. His daughter is Fay-Ann Lyons.
