Über Sonny Chillingworth

A master of slack-key guitar whose smooth style and deep repertoire made him one of the tradition's most respected figures. A contemporary and collaborator of Gabby Pahinui, he blended Hawaiian, cowboy, and Latin influences into his playing. His recordings across four decades helped preserve and popularize kī hōʻalu. He remained an active performer and teacher until his death in 1994.
