Newcastle three-piece who hit international success in 1995 with Tomorrow when frontman Daniel Johns was 15. Frogstomp (1995) sold over two million copies and made Silverchair the biggest 90s Australian rock export after AC/DC. The band's later albums (Diorama, Young Modern) moved into ambitious art-rock before they went on indefinite hiatus in 2011.
