Rush were the Toronto progressive-rock trio of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart, the highest-virtuosity power trio in popular music. Across two decades of platinum albums starting with 2112 in 1976, they made dense, philosophical rock music for arenas and a generation of musicians. Peart died in 2020 and the band did not continue without him.
