Ramón Ayala is the King of the Accordion, one of the most prolific and influential figures in norteño and conjunto music. First with Los Relámpagos del Norte and then leading Los Bravos del Norte, he recorded hundreds of albums of corridos and heartbreak ballads that became the soundtrack of northern Mexico and the border. His accordion style shaped generations of regional Mexican musicians.
