Über Manou Gallo
Manou Gallo started as a percussionist in Woya as a teenager in Divo before moving to bass, the instrument she is now known for. She spent years touring as bassist with Zap Mama, then built a solo catalogue around what she calls Djiboi, a groove drawn from Dida rhythms and funk. Bootsy Collins guested on her track ABJ Groove. Her Aliso EP, released in November 2021, is the most recent statement of that approach.
