His rich voice and blend of reggae, R&B, and Pacific soul made him a defining figure of the jawaiian movement from the 1990s. Hits like 'Chant of the Islands' made him a beloved presence across Hawaii and the wider Pacific. He is widely regarded as a godfather of island reggae.
