The musician who named and shaped rapso, setting spoken poetry against rhythm with the Network Riddum Band from the late 1970s. He traced the form to the chantwell tradition behind calypso rather than to American rap, and used it for political and spiritual commentary. The 1986 album Rapso Take Over is the clearest statement of what he built. He later served as president of the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organisation until his death in 2021.
