Amr Diab is the best-selling Arab artist of all time and the defining pop star of the modern Arab world. Nicknamed al-Hadaba, he pioneered Mediterranean pop by fusing Egyptian melody with Spanish and Western dance rhythms. His 1996 smash Nour El Ain became a pan-Arab and international phenomenon. He has won more World Music Awards than any other Middle Eastern artist and continues to top charts across the region.
