2Baba, long known as 2Face Idibia, is one of the founding fathers of modern Nigerian pop. His 2004 single African Queen became a continent-wide anthem and one of the first Nigerian songs to break internationally, paving the way for the afrobeats explosion. A gifted melodist, he remains an elder statesman of the scene.
