About Editus

Editus is the instrumental trio of Edín Solís (guitar), Ricardo Ramírez (violin), and Carlos Vargas (percussion), formed in San José in 1990. Their breakthrough came as Rubén Blades' touring band, which led to back-to-back Latin Grammy wins in 2000 for Tiempos and in 2002 for Mundo. They remain Costa Rica's most decorated musical export, a fluent bridge between Latin American songbook, jazz, and folk.
